Everything God created in the first 6 days of creation was good. There was the sun, water, truth, and then…marriage. Take that in for a moment. Heaven blessed mankind with the essentials. In terms of fellowship, only man’s intimacy with God held more honor than marriage. It was given precedence in creation based on holiness, establishing a foundation built on identity, priority, and the capacity to love.  

Marriage was never intended to be viewed as hopeless.

• The altar reminds us of commitment—that love is not sustained by emotion alone but by daily surrender to God’s will.

• The serpent represents the subtle challenges that creep into every union — pride, distraction, resentment, or fear.

• And the broken chain symbolizes victory—the freedom found when two hearts choose grace over grievance and unity over isolation.

Every time a marriage moves from the battlefield to victory formation, it reveals that faith and sacrificial love are at the heart of marriage.

In Ephesians 5:2, the Apostle Paul encourages believers to identify with Christ through an active lifestyle devoted to love, pleasing God the Father (reverence). This love is uniquely reflected in the covenant of marriage.  As we mature in faith, we realize we do not have to fight for victory. Rather, we can live from the victory secured on the cross by Christ’s love for us. 1 Corinthians 15:57 is full of gratitude because through Jesus’ resurrection, we have been given victory over sin and death. The true enemy is defeated. Our position, perspective, purpose, and promise are fully restored in Christ. We celebrate because love is undefeated. Glory be to God for His Triumphant Love.
